How we collect, store and show information about vacant homes.
What we collect
Factual details about vacant homes: address, area, rent, rooms, size, floor, contract type, move-in date, application deadline, queue requirement and the link to the landlord's own listing. We do not copy full descriptions and we do not store the landlord's photos.
How we read sources
We prefer feeds and APIs that the landlord has connected themselves. When we read a web page we do so at ordinary traffic levels, one request at a time per host, and we obey robots.txt. Our requests identify themselves as plingplong with a link to this page.
Removing a source or a home
Landlords who do not want to appear here can contact us and we disable the source within five working days. A home that disappears from the landlord's site stops showing here at the next read.
Retention
Raw data from reads is kept for at most 90 days for debugging. Details of removed homes are kept so that old links can show that the home is no longer available.
